The Doctor of Ministry of ETS is a semi-cohort system, which offers five modules during which all students will participate in the same module each year. Students will attend a two-week residential module each for five years (over the span of four years and two weeks). During each module, an Enrichment Module will be offered, featuring a scholar from one of these fields: Theology, Bible, Preaching, Missions, and Church Ministry. In addition to the Enrichment lectures, Research Methodology courses will be taught.
Since 2017, the D.Min. has been accredited by the Asia Theological Association (ATA).
For the first two years, in addition to the Enrichment Lectures and Research Methodology courses, students will read extensively towards their literature review and define their biblical study on the topic of their research, and the following years, work on their qualitative research and dissertation under the guidance of dissertation advisors. The students also draw much from intense peer review sessions and personal interactions from professors on campus.
